My algebra solver for back to school

August 30th, 2009 Author: Thai Categories: Technology

writingMy posts for August have be mediocre and I apologize. I’ve been working on other people’s website and have neglected my own. I hope to remedy this in September. I have a backlog of ideas to write, but just haven’t found the time to hammer them out. With fall quickly approaching I’ve been reminiscing on my days in school. When I was younger, going to school meant classes started around September 1st. I know today’s youth go earlier and get out later. With September just few hours away, I’d like to show you a site I have found very interesting.

I wonder how many teachers know this site exist when they assign homework for their students.

I know if you try this site, the feature most kids want is ’show steps’ which will take them to a website that will be hawking a program that will show you the work step by step.

The main point to get from this site is what use to cost lots of money for a fancy calculator that solves equations (HP 22s) or the (HP 48 series), you can now do for free with a website. I don’t even think you can buy those calculators anymore. It seems like the spreadsheet has killed the calculator star.

Hmm, with that in mind, you could also do your algebra problem solving with an Excel spreadsheet, but what is the fun in that?

There is still a lot to be said about solving math problems with in your head. You’ll never know when you’ll be out in the middle of nowhere and need to solve the quadratic equation to get back home.

Hi, I need some urgent help on algebra solvers . I’ve browsed through various websites for topics like mixed numbers and unlike denominators but none could help me solve my problem relating to algebra solvers . I have a test in a few days from now and if I don’t start working on my problem then I might not pass my exam. I called a few of my friends, but they seem to be in the same situation. So guys, please help me.

Hi I have a large library of test cases that I test before releasing new versions. Right now it does the following: reduction of constants, removal of unneeded parentheses, reduction of similar factors and terms, linear equations, quadratics, some polynomial reductions, associative property, some substitutions.

I’ve been going back and forth with Cliffs notes and Schaum’s outline of algebra. Thus far, I’m happier with Schaum’s than Cliffs. Cliff’s is incredibly vague (as is Schaum’s, but less often) and so much so that it hampers the scholar from fully grasping the concepts. A major, albeit reoccurring issue I encounter with math guides is that they are way too vague, or they’re missing some steps, which happen to be critical in the comprehension of the topic.

Are there any true algebra solver websites? I need step by step help. I have been out of school awhile and just can’t understand algebra.

I think a good site that no one thinks of using is Cramster just because it’s a guide to text books. However, it does have step by step solutions for the odds to many different textbooks, as well as a decently sized db of user submitted material. As long as the user were willing to dig, there’s lots of good quality content on there.

This is an adorable outfit!! Of course if its a cute back to school outfit, always depends on what your style is, what you want your style to be, what grade your in, what other people at your school wear, if you want to stand out or not. Blah, blah, blah.

Please pick my project Read and Remix to save Lives for the front page. It won’t let me post a link. I’m not doing this for some dumb selfish reason. If enough people care, it might really help.

Are there any true algebra solver web sites? I will need phase by phase help. I have been out of school awhile and just can’t realize algebra.

I am thinking that we would spend two or three lessons on bar models to build the concept of what we are actually trying to do (find the value of the unknown amount). Then, spend a couple lessons on the order of operations representation to build an understanding of the process for isolating the variable.
