Syncplicity mac client no longer supported
I checked my inbox and found this email. I had tried syncplicity before as a beta tester and while it has its’ good points, the bad ones made me remove the application from my computer.
Our engineering team has recently completed a ground-up analysis of the Mac beta client and the investigation found some issues which require some major changes in the client. Because of this, we’ve decided to pull back the Mac client beta until which point the engineering team has time to make some major changes. We intend to reassess our engineering schedule early next year.
Unfortunately, this does mean that as of July 31st, you will no longer be able to use Syncplicity with a Mac computer.
This basically says they’re going to rewrite the mac client and release it at a later date.
First let’s list what it did right.
What it didn’t get right (at least on the Mac side).
After two weeks I uninstalled it and have not looked back until this email. Having re-evaluate it now, I still would not put it on my mac computer. I might try it on some of my PCs, though. I have since moved to Mozy and have not looked back. Enter B7QJPN and you’ll get 256mb additional space to your free 2GB for having me refer you.

Seamlessly use existing files, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat PDFs already on their desktops, with Google Docs without the need to manually upload them.
Once you’ve signed up for an account, you can download Syncplicity’s Mac client and use it to choose which folders you want to synchronize.
the engineering team has been hard at work at the Mac client – eager to address the needs of our Mac user population, and eager to build a Mac client that meets the highest of expectations.
I have a onenote folder synced to syncplicity (www.syncplicity.com). I am wondering where is the actual notebook file. Instead I have a folder with files inside them that make up the notebook, not a single file containing the notebook itself. I am wondering if ‘Unfiled Notes.one’ is the notebook backup file.
I just need a few MBs more and I cant affort to pay for 50GB. So if I could have a swcond dropbox application would be great. Any alternative to this would be also fine, but syncplicity does not work ok to me. May be its complicated.
IT management console offers unique reporting and administration, giving companies the ability to protect users from data loss, ensure users have anywhere access to their files, set file management policies to secure corporate data, and easily add, configure and support multiple users. Thanks…
This move isn’t going to affect Windows users of Syncplicity, and the company is offering refunds to current subscribers who were running the Mac beta. There won’t even be a timeline for the relaunch of Syncplicity for Mac until early next year, so it would be smart to start investigating competing services if you’ve been relying on it.
I just want to know if your opinion of Obama become more positive or negative after the primaries? Any why?
HI it is a good and best blog for all information in the new technology thanks to shear this information
Better stick with Vista since Windows 7 is still in it’s beta stage. But if youi’re the type who wants to test the new OS, provide feedbacks, then Windows 7 would be your choice.
I am trusting the same best work from you in the future as well. In fact your fanciful writing abilities has inspired me to start my own blog now.
Many things are easier to understand when you take the time to present them like you have here.
This post was really interesting, but I think maybe you can add some references to make this article easy to understand. :D
