“If you can dream it, you can do it. Always remember that this whole thing was started with a dream and a mouse.” With those words, Walt Disney set out to build an empire from our dreams and fantasies. Today I stumbled upon something truly magical. Disney has put their whole park into the realm of virtual tourism. True your kids won’t talk to you for a while if you opt to get them there virtually instead of physically. Think of the long line and humidity you’re sparing your family, though. Using over 450GB worth of about 85,000 photos, they are able to recreate the whole of Disneyland Paris. Just install google earth and start your virtual vacation.
In fact, I spent a good hour in this place. They went to great depths to get everything as close to reality as possible. You can get on rides such as the Indiana Jones Temple of Peril. One easter egg I found was on top of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, you can see Tinker Bell complete with pixie dust trails. When you’re done with the virtual tour, you can load up google maps and do a ‘Street View‘ of the area and see actual photos of the area.
Now, I wish they would do a street view of Area 51.
